EXHIBITION: The Dutch at the Prado |
 The Dutch school has been traditionally reduced to less than a dozen painting in one room of the Prado Museum. For a few months, the Prado will show close to thirty canvases. Around Rembrandt’s Artemisa, the museum has gathered an interesting selection representative of the different Dutch genres. Prado Museum. From 3/Dec/09 to 11/Apr/10
The diversity of the Prado’s Dutch collection brings testimony of 17th century Holland society, the relative autonomy of each citizen, but also the surprising phenomenon of a catholic exile for a few of the finest Dutch artists.
